Outreach & Advocacy
Take Action, Get Involved, and #PutSomeBreastmilkOnIt®!
Our Advocacy Team partners with nonprofits in the lactation and maternal-child health landscape, Department of Defense committees, and legislators to ensure that we maintain ongoing awareness and impact on current legislation and policy initiatives that affect breast/chestfeeding military families.
We collaborate with our partners to provide evidence-based, equity-centered recommendations to legislative and policy channels through sign-on letters and education packages, informing the decision-making process. Global MilCom is committed to delivering evidence-based information to decision makers to ensure that legislation and policy is designed to optimally and equitably support all families, advance accessibility to resources, and maximize the ability of families to successfully breast/chest feed their babies.
